Mother Tongue Languages Symposium
The Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism regularly supports and participates in the Mother Tongue Languages Symposium (opens in new tab), a key national platform celebrating the teaching, learning and use of our Mother Tongue Languages. The Symposium brings together parents, educators, schools and community partners to exchange ideas, discover good practices and explore meaningful ways of nurturing children’s interest in Chinese, Malay and Tamil.
Over the years, LKYFB has contributed through interactive exhibition booths and showcases of Fund-supported books, digital resources, learning activities and community programmes. These experiences encourage parents and children to learn and communicate together, demonstrating how English and the Mother Tongue Languages can be used naturally in everyday life. Our continued support for the Symposium reflects our commitment to making bilingual learning meaningful, enjoyable and accessible to families and educators.
Early Childhood Celebrations & Conference (ECCC)
The Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism regularly supports and participates in the Early Childhood Celebrations & Conference (ECCC), organised by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). The event brings together early childhood educators, leaders and partners to exchange ideas, learn from good practices and celebrate the contributions of professionals and preschools to children’s learning and development.
Through its exhibition booths, LKYFB showcases Fund-supported bilingual resources and programmes designed for young children, parents and educators. These include books, digital content and practical learning activities that make bilingual learning more interactive and enjoyable. Our participation also allows us to engage early childhood professionals, better understand their needs and strengthen partnerships that help children build a strong foundation in English and their Mother Tongue Languages.
